It’s been quite a few years since this great Australian band from Melbourne, combining melodic punk with folk and indie, performed at our festival. It is led by singer and guitarist Wil Wagner, known for his raw and honest lyrics. Their 2011 debut album No One Gets Lost Anymore was followed by the acclaimed albums Throw Me in the River and Don’t Waste Your Anger, which reached No. 1 on the Australian charts. The band’s music combines punk energy with personal, often melancholic stories. The Smith Street Band is one of the most prominent names in contemporary Australian punk and regularly tours around the world.
