Wohnout is a Czech rock band formed in 1996 in Prague by brothers Jan and Matěj Homola. The group moves on the borders of rock, hard rock, and punk-rock, featuring characteristic playful and often absurd lyrics.
The line-up consists of Jan Homola (guitar, vocals), Matěj Homola (guitar, vocals), Jiří Zemánek (bass), and Zdeněk Steiner (drums). This line-up has remained almost unchanged since the band’s formation, contributing to their tight sound and stable position on the Czech scene.
They debuted with the album ‘Cundalla’ in 1999. Among their most successful records are ‘Pedro se vrací’ (2002) and ‘Karton veverek’ (2006). The band’s biggest hit became the song ‘Svaz českých bohémů’.
