Jestli existuje nějaká kapela, na které se v týmu jednoznačně shodneme, tak jsou to právě The Hives. Pro jejich špinavý zvuk, pro jejich hymnické refrény i pro jejich výbušnou show, která vás zkrátka a dobře rozseká.
Tihle švédští pionýři špinavého garážového rocku se dali dohromady v roce 1993 a od té doby v podstatě jejich hvězda bez přestání stoupá. Odstartovali dnes již kultovní deskou Barely Legal v roce 1997 a s každým dalším albem jenom svoje kvality potvrzovali, což se může zdát jako samozřejmost, ale často tomu tak není. Člověk by řekl, že po tolika letech jen těžko dokáže kapela překvapit a přijít s něčím, co bude zase o krok dál, to ovšem neplatí o The Hives.
V tomto roce The Hives vydali zatím poslední desku The Death Of Randy Fitzsimmons a opět dokázali nemožné. Přivítejte tuhle úderku poprvé na Mighty! Vidíme se v kotli.

These Swedish pioneers of dirty garage rock got together in 1993, and their star has been rising non-stop ever since. They kicked off with the now iconic Barely Legal in 1997 and have only confirmed their quality with every album since, which shouldn’t be taken for granted; it is rare. You’d think that after so many years, it would be hard for a band to keep surprising and setting the pace with something new taken to the next level, but that’s different with The Hives.
This year, The Hives released their latest record so far, The Death Of Randy Fitzsimmons, and once again, they have done the impossible.
