Melohardcore’s Ignite is heading back to Tabor’s airport. They got together in 1993 around frontman Zoli, who had recently left the band. The new singer is the charismatic Eli Santana. Let’s be honest, it wasn’t a walk in the park for Eli at all, but after just one tour, the rumor mill has been in overdrive about him being a damn good choice. So Ignite is moving on, and even the most orthodox fans might have forgiven them for changing a frontman. Most of Ignite’s lyrics are socially and politically oriented. In addition, Ignite is actively involved in various environmental projects such as Earth First, Doctors Without Borders, and Sea Shepherd. Similar to H2O, they present hardcore as more than just music.
