The British ska 2 tone legend from Coventry was formed in 1979 and was one of the main representatives of the aforementioned subgenre of ska. The band was made famous primarily by its charismatic singer Pauline Black. The Selecter are known for their black-and-white image and energetic music that appeals to new generations.
