DUKLA VOZOVNA
15:40 - 16:30
Punk, Folkpunk
15:40 - 16:30

After several years, the now legendary Pardubice punk band Dukla Vozovna, which started its musical career in 2001, will visit Tábor again. The music of Dukla Vozovna is energetic and positive, which is greatly helped by two accordions and strongly melodic melodies. Dukla will kick it all off on the festival’s main stage on Friday afternoon!

BLACKOUT PROBLEMS
17:10 - 18:00
Punk, Punkrock
17:10 - 18:00

A jewel of modern punk rock that is still gaining strength and perfection. Their work with melodies and the art of perfectly arranging a hit are enhanced by their rawness and sincerity during live performances. Those who have seen them live once need to repeat the experience as soon as possible.

NEŽFALEŠ
18:40 - 19:40
Punk
18:40 - 19:40

The Prague punk rock band has played club and festival stages for 20 years. During that time, the band recorded several albums, singles, and music videos and played hundreds of concerts in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. They released their latest album Šminky padlejch královen (Lipsticks of Fallen Queens), during the covid pandemic in 2021. So we are thrilled to welcome back this Czech classic after many years!

THE TOY DOLLS
20:15 - 21:15
Punk
20:15 - 21:15

English punk legend Toy Dolls formed in 1979. Toy Dolls’ music and lyrics are built on a punk aesthetic, but the main component of their music is humor and all sorts of lyrical shifts that make Toy Dolls one of the genre’s most original bands. They have a whopping sixteen studio albums to their credit. In 2023 they released a live album from the French Hellfest festival. This will be the first time this band has performed at Mighty Sounds, so we’re looking forward to seeing what kind of show they put on.

IRIE RÉVOLTÉS
22:05 - 23:15
Ska/Regga, Dancehall
22:05 - 23:15

Irie Révoltés are back from the dead and returning to Mighty Sounds This is the news we’ve been secretly hoping for for years – Irie Révoltés are back! Only a few bands are so closely associated with the Mighty Sounds festival. We were there when they started their musical career in Heidelberg after 2000, when they started to gather fans. We too were instantly fascinated by their energy and fusion of punk, reggae, ska and hip-hop that resulted in an explosive and highly infectious musical mix. From the start, they were also known for their clever and socially critical lyrics. We followed them through their entire musical life, which was exactly the kind of life that many bands can only dream of. They played for 17 years, released 5 albums, participated in countless political events and played over 500 concerts in 25 countries. That’s why we were really sad when they announced the end of their existence in 2017; after that they still played an excellent concert in the sold out big hall of Lucerna in Prague. But now our dreams are coming true. Irie Révoltés have secretly baked a comeback and this is an opportunity we couldn’t let slip through our fingers. This is a matter of the heart. Irie Révoltés are back in full force, look forward to seeing them in Tábor at the 19th edition of Mighty Sounds!

VYPSANÁ FIXA
00:00 - 01:00
Punk, Garage pop
00:00 - 01:00

Pardubice band Vypsaná fiXa will perform at Mighty Sounds for the first time. The band has been active since 1994 and since then has been successfully crisscrossing festivals and clubs all over the Czech Republic with its mix of indie punk. Vypsaná fiXa has won the hearts of fans mainly thanks to the completely original poetics of the bandleader and frontman Márdi and the melodies that get under the skin. We are looking forward to this premiere!

RISKEE AND THE RIDICULE
16:20 - 17:05
Punk, Grime
16:20 - 17:05

So this year, hopefully, it’ll work out. With a really interesting mix of grime and punk, Riskee & the Ridicule are coming to Mighty Sounds to prove that the UK still has a lot of unknown musical treasures for us. Scott aka Riskee uncompromisingly sprinkles strong socially critical and political lyrics into his band’s punk rock, sometimes even pop punk backing. According to the band, society is changing for the worse and many have lost their humanity. They need to speak out against this and say it really loud. This is also the main motive of the brand new album that Riskee & The Radicule will bring to Tábor this summer.

THE SLACKERS
17:50 - 18:45
Ska/Reggae, Jazz
17:50 - 18:45

The Slackers return to Mighty Sounds after eleven years. The band from the Hellcat stable should please especially those who enjoy offbeat music. The Slackers mix ska, rocksteady, reggae, dub or soul with incredible ease, but garage rock and jazz are not left behind either. The main figure of this Manhattan crew is the charismatic Vic Ruggiero, a likeable frontman, keyboardist with Italian roots and an unmistakable voice. Vic can write brilliant songs, head-turning melodies, and with a bunch of incredible musicians always around him, he’s really good at it. They have records and gigs galore. It must be added, however, that even though the most essential hits are mainly found on the first four discs, each subsequent CD is a gem that their fans can’t help but love.

MAD CADDIES
19:30 - 20:25
Punk, Skapunk
19:30 - 20:25

The last performance of the Mad Caddies at the Mighty Sounds festival took place in Olší in 2008. It must be added that for some members of the team Mad Caddies are an absolute heartthrob. The band’s roots are rooted somewhere in the fertile soil of ska punk, but in recent years the band has found itself more in the waters of American-style reggae. This is also evidenced by their latest, among other great records, Arrows Room 117. We are looking forward to see where the band has moved in the seventeen years since their appearance in Olší.

RAT BOY
21:10 - 22:00
Punk, Ska
21:10 - 22:00

So this is a catch we are duly proud of. Essex native Rat Boy is exactly the fresh breeze that cleans the stagnant waters of punk, bringing life to them and there are few places he fits in like he does on Mighty Sounds. He serves up a perfect mix of punk, hip hop and ska with a great deal of overlap and the ability to bridge old and new generations of subcultural genres. We’re really looking forward to this one.

STOMPER 98
23:00 - 23:55
Punk, Oi!
23:00 - 23:55

When Oi!, Punk and Offbeat met the traditional skinhead lifestyle, Stomper 98, now veterans of German street punk, were born. This year the band celebrates twenty-six years on the scene and is well known to Mighty Sounds fans. Stomper 98 sees themselves as a traditional working class skinhead band and their lyrics also revolve around related themes. Their most recent album to date was released in 2023.

PIRATES OF THE PUBS
00:40 - 01:25
Punk, Folkpunk
00:40 - 01:25

The band Pirates of the Pubs probably doesn’t need too much introduction to our people anymore. They have been active since 2012 and since then they have clearly made their mark in the hearts of fans in the Czech Republic and abroad, where they go to deliver their music quite often. Their work is inspired by Irish folk songs and a little bit by the work of Scrum, Dropkick Murphys, The Real McKenzies and Flogging Molly. This will be their third appearance at the Mighty Sounds festival.

FOGGY DUDE
14:45 - 15:30
Punk, Celtic punk
14:45 - 15:30

Irish folk punk like out of a book – fiddle, mandolin, accordion and unhealthy glorification of alcohol. Irish because of the fiddle, mandolin and accordion, punk because we try to play it! Lyrics full of epic fictional stories and unknown pubs! A punk band without any tattoos! You can only experience that and less with Foggy Dude!

CROSSCZECH
16:15 - 17:00
Oi!, Punk
16:15 - 17:00

The Prague power Oi! band Crossczech was founded in 2001, which in very simple terms means that by the time of the 19th edition of the festival they will have been on the scene for 24 years. The band was formed at a time when the Oi! scene was resonating all over the place, and it’s all the more likeable that the guys are still pulling this ride even today, when genres are doing a bit worse. In 2023, Crossczech released their last album to date, Partie bez vítězů.

DZ DEATHRAYS
17:45 - 18:40
Punk, Garage
17:45 - 18:40

Punk trio DZ Deathrays is no newcomer to our country. DZ Deathrays’ distinctive style is based on alternative garage punk guitar riffs. Together with Dune Rats and Violent Soho, they are definitely one of the best the Australian punk scene has to offer in this direction. Their track record stands at thirteen years on the scene and six albums, with their most recent being R.I.F.F., released in 2023.

BERLINER WEISSE
19:25 - 20:10
Punk, Oi!
19:25 - 20:10

Berliner Weisse is an Oi! punk band from Berlin, which was founded in 2000 and played its first gigs in the same year. For a long time they didn’t have a name and since the guys didn’t think much of it, while drinking a beer special from the federal capital they decided to name themselves after the drink. The band has released seven albums, the latest of which, from 2021, is called Spüre dein Herz.

INSANITY ALERT
20:55 - 21:40
Trash
20:55 - 21:40

Shackled jeans full of patches, a giant dose of humour with a slight hint of darkness, party tunes and a can’t miss sixpack of beer. You can never have too much good old thrash, and in the flood of prevailing genres from the drawers of ska, rock ‘n’ roll and punk, listeners will at least have a moment to take a break from these genres. The last time the band performed at Mighty Sounds was in 2016 and they’ve moved on again since then, so we’re excited to see what they’ll surprise us with. Their latest EP, 2024’s Moshemian Thrashody, suggests they will!

KRANG
22:25 - 23:10
Punk, Punkrock
22:25 - 23:10

One of the most distinctive genre formations in the Czech Republic returns to Mighty Sounds after four years. Krang is firing on all cylinders, the guys are working their asses off, and their melo punk never disappoints. This skate punk band from Moravia has been rocking since 2015 and has three full albums to their credit, the latest of which was released in 2024 and is called Listens to Krang once. Krang have toured Europe, the US, Mexico, Japan and Israel.

SCOOP
23:55 - 00:40
Hardcore
23:55 - 00:40

A relatively new band Scoop made itself known right from the beginning of its formation. The year is 2023 and the Czech hard core punk scene has seen the emergence of a band that has built its music on straightforward riffs and a certain amount of aggression. The guys don’t have much to their credit yet, but even the little they have pinned on streaming services so far is worth it. We’ll be keeping a close eye on them to see what new stuff they have in store for their fans this summer.

KAFVKA
01:25 - 02:10
Punk, Rap
01:25 - 02:10

Uncompromising rap dictation supported by sharp guitars and electronic beats, politically and critically tuned lyrics and a brutal dose of energy. All inspired by Berlin, where this increasingly popular Kafvka formation comes from. They proved that they are serious about their views at a demonstration against the rise of the far-right in front of 200,000 spectators.

The nine-member music band from Stoda near Pilsen returns to Tàbor airport with their cocktail of punk, ska and reggae. They got together in 2002 and released their first album, It Was Time, in 2007. The concerts of the V3SKA band are especially notable for their energy. The fun cocktail of cheerful music and lyrics will dance almost every cauldron below with ease.

FIDDLER'S GREEN
14:45 - 15:40
Punk, Celtic Punk
14:45 - 15:40

You know that fairy tale about the fiddles that play endlessly, and they all have to dance until their shoes are red hot, but they never get tired? This German Irish folk band has mastered such tricks, so you’ll have no choice but to dance to your heart’s content. The boys started their band life in 1990. They made their debut two years later with an eponymous album on their own label, Deaf Shepherd Recordings. They signed to a major label for a while, but eventually went back to being independent. They call their own work speed folk, as opposed to folk rock or Irish folk. The band last appeared on Mighty Sounds six years ago, so we’re excited to see how and where the guys have moved since then.

STARÉ PUŠKY
16:25 - 17:30
Punk
16:25 - 17:30

Some people love them, others curse them, but what is certain is that this group does it the way it should be done, honestly. Their music stands on the pillars of the legacy of North Moravian bands Degradace, Proti směru and Jesenice Naarden. As the guys themselves write, their goal was clear from the very beginning: to try to preserve the punk rock spirit of the songs and at the same time to try to insert a drop of something different for this scene among the old familiar, well-trodden themes and phrases. If they succeeded at least a little bit, you can judge for yourself.

THE REAL MCKENZIES
18:20 - 19:15
Punk, Folkpunk
18:20 - 19:15

Our favorite pack of Canadian dogs with Celtic roots and bagpipe hearts returns to our festival after nine years. This whole hybrid of aggressive punk and traditional Scottish folk songs was put together by singer Paul McKenzie in 1992. Supposedly he got the idea at a party where he heard an Andy Stewart record playing from one room, and the Sex Pistols from another. He was so taken by the contrast that he formed The Real McKenzies. The band debuted in 1995 with an eponymous album. Seven albums have followed, the latest of which is out now and from which you’ll certainly hear some hot new releases at the festival. Since 2001, the band has been releasing albums on Fat Wreck Chords, the label of Fat Mike of NOFX, and the new record is no different. The Real McKenzies have won fans on every continent in their twenty long years of existence. Their blend of aggressive guitars and melodic singalongs combined with traditional bagpipes is the right and honest mix that will captivate you and take you on an excursion to the old days.

PERKELE
20:05 - 21:00
Punk, Rock
20:05 - 21:00

Punk rock? Heavy metal? Rock? However Perkele started in 1993 as a punk rock band, but since the start they have loved to experiment with their sound. They listened to punk rock, different styles of heavy metal, folk music and progressive music, which have been a part of their sound more or less from the beginning. Nowadays Perkele are not sure how to categorize them, but the band also don’t care. In the late nineties Perkele released their first album and has been releasing albums packed with hits since then, which also early brought the band overseas. They have toured in the USA and Europe so far with great success. With the melodies, positive lyrics, love and energy Perkele is building up the most fantastic atmosphere live together with the audience. This is something that needs to be experienced. So if you ever attend a Perkele show. Don’t hold back. Open up and give everything, because you can be sure Perkele does!

SOFT PLAY
21:55 - 22:50
Punk
21:55 - 22:50

We’d like to introduce you to Soft Play, a British punk duo that stands and falls on the duo of Laurie Vincent and Isaac Holman. After a hiatus of several years, the band formerly known as SLAVES have rekindled the spark and returned to the world with a new name, Soft Play. The band didn’t crumble from the critics, on the contrary they managed to turn the giant shitstorm in comments caused by the name change into lyrical mastery in the single Punk’s Dead. She laughed at all the smart-asses very intelligently and, most importantly, she’s moving on. Heavy Jelly’s new record is running like a well-oiled machine and we can’t wait to hear it live.

MILLENCOLIN
23:50 - 00:50
Punk, Punkrock
23:50 - 00:50

Swedish band Millencolin for the first time ever on Mighty sounds. This punk band was founded in 1992 by Nikola Šarčević, Mathias Färm and Erik Ohlsson. Already with their second album the band signed a contract on the famous Epitaph records label. Thus, slowly and surely, the Scandinavian punk scene became small for the band. In the following years they toured Japan, Australia, Brazil or Canada and in 1997 they went on the US Warped Tour. Their biggest hit song No Cigar appeared on the soundtrack of Tony Hawk’s cult game Pro Skater 2. The melo-punk legend’s most recent album to date, SOS, was released in 2019.

Post hardcore band from Frankfurt Watch me Rise will perform at the Mighty Sounds festival after two years. The emo crew made their mark on the music world in 2018 when they released their first EP, Of Anxious Minds And Sleepless Nights, which contained five songs. A pretty decent array of singles followed and in 2023, another five-song EP titled Bedtime Stories. Watch Me Rise play very touching emo hardcore full of personal themes.

TEENAGE BOTTLEROCKET
14:00 - 14:45
Punk, Punkrock

Wyoming punk rock band Teenage Bottlerocket formed in 2000. The band was founded by twins Ray and Brandon Carlisle. The band was inspired to form by bands like the Ramones, Screecching Weasel, Greenday, The Bounicng Souls, and the Misfits, and you can certainly hear it in their work. Their last album to date, Sick Sesh!, was released in 2021, followed by an EP in 2023 called So Dumb.

MAID OF ACE
15:40 - 16:25
Punk, Punkrock
15:40 - 16:25

On the north coast of the UK is the small, dirty town of Hastings. There, a few years ago, four sisters got together, picked up their instruments and started greasing the hell out of some good raw punk rock. A lot of water has passed since 2005 and Maid Of Ace is touring furiously with their all-girls punk band all over the world.

FAST FOOD ORCHESTRA
17:30 - 18:20
Ska/Reggae, Hip Hop
17:30 - 18:20

The festival stalwart with its mix of ska and reggae will arrive again this year. The Fast Food orchestra has been touring with their music since 1998 and their most recent release so far is a 2024 record called Bistro of Dreams. This festival season, the guys left styled in an Asian bistro and we’re already looking forward to seeing what goodies they serve us in the next one.

KID KAPICHI
19:15 - 20:05
Punk
19:15 - 20:05

The English band Kid Kapichi is slowly but surely making its way into the consciousness of the general public. They have already played a few shows in the Czech Republic, and those who have seen them live will definitely want to see them again. Kid Kapichi are one of those bands that are where they are, mainly thanks to hard work. Their music is straightforward, wholesomely pissed off, funny and melodic at the same time. Centered guitars and strong melodies, that’s Kid Kapichi in a nutshell.

LAGWAGON
21:00 - 21:55
Punk, Punkrock
21:00 - 21:55

Three times cheers for all fans of melodic skate punk! For the second time we can look forward to the performance of the Fat Wreck Chord. Lagwagon got together in 1990 and have nine albums, several singles and a joint split with Jughead’s Revenge to their credit. The only reason why this band, unlike their peers like Green Day, Offspring and Blink 182, didn’t break into the mainstream is because they were able to resist all major label offers and stayed where they were best. Definitely don’t miss their awesome cocktail of ultra melodic and snappy punk rock!

FIDLAR
22:55 - 23:50
Punk, Garage
22:55 - 23:50

It’s 2013 and Zac Carper is putting together this crazy crew from Los Angeles. The band’s name is an acronym of Zac’s roommate’s favorite skate mantra – Fuck It Dawg, Life’s a Risk. And in fact, that catchphrase kind of defines the band’s work and basically the whole aura of the band. The new generation of garage punk is soaked in beer, all sorts of boards from skateboards to surfboards and above all party humour as you can imagine. In short, if we’ve been wishing for years to serve you bands like Dune Rats, here we are a big step further. Fidlar introduced themselves to the world with their eponymous album Fidlar, but they made a dent in the world with Too and Almost Free. This was followed by the beautiful acoustic album Unplug and the recently released brand new album Surviving The Dream. Fidlar, welcome to Mighty!

He has been running this two-tone marathon for over forty years! Throughout that time, the band had over sixty musicians from all over the world. If you’re tired of perfumed trends that have no head or heel and you miss the 90s vibe in a fresh package, Sukulent Sound is the one for you. This crew takes you on a concert tour to the nightclubs, cutting through the wooded hills of Jamaica and the darkened streets of the big cities to land with you behind the nearest barn, where you can hear the whirring of a parked tractor and an old punk cassette someone forgot to pull out of the car stereo. In short, Sukulent Sound delivers a fun show full of energy, rocking beats and clever lyrics for anyone who agrees to the rules of the game and decides to get on this ride.

RABIES
13:50 - 14:30
Punk, Punkrock
13:50 - 14:30

We are very happy that this group from Bystřice nad Pernštejnem is one of the winners of the Mighty contest. The guys are really great, they are making great punk rock, which is unrivalled in our region and they are simply and simply entertaining us! They have had a successful tour in Japan and are currently conquering clubs in the Czech Republic again. They will bring their new album High on Sugar to Tábor. We are looking forward to seeing them.

FAÜST
15:10 - 15:50
Ostatní, Thrash
15:10 - 15:50

Probably the youngest hope of Czech thrash metal called Faüst emerged from the band Coldblooded Fish, or C.B.F. After they changed their name and added a second guitarist, a real party could start. Their last record to date, Tinnitus Inquisition, was released in 2022. This year, Faüst released the single Where Nightmares Reign Supreme. Look forward to a proper thrash slaughter!

RUMKICKS
16:30 - 17:20
Punk
16:30 - 17:20

The Korean group chose this neutral name so as not to imply the gender of the members. Singer Yeawon says the name has no deeper meaning, and she doesn’t even like rum. The main inspiration was the Australian band Rumjacks. Rumkicks are known for their edgy look that goes hand in hand with their punk aesthetic, as well as their socially conscious lyrics and rebelliousness. They have toured the UK, US, Europe, China and Japan.

LEFTÖVER CRACK
18:00 - 18:45
Punk, Skapunk
18:00 - 18:45

When Leftover Crack first performed at Mighty Sounds, it was a big deal. Today, eleven years later, we can almost speak of a well-worn legend. The burial of the fabulous Choking Victim with the unmistakable voice of Scott Surgeon is a brilliant message to the Mighty backstage. Scott has a voice completely different from the other singers, and even the tunes of this formation, although so incredibly memorable, sound completely different and fresh. The band initially went through a lot of people, like the original drummer from the Beastie Boys and Suicidal Tendencies, or even the second to last drummer from The Slackers. However, after the second album and the death of the drummer, the band broke up and only returned to the music boards that mean the world in 2007 with a joint split album with Citizen Fish. We’re curious to see how the band has evolved again.

QUEENS OF EVERYTHING
19:25 - 20:15
Rock'n'roll, Rockabilly
19:25 - 20:15

The queens have traditionally been one of the stalwarts of our summer rock’n’roll party and of course you can look forward to seeing them this year as well. The original mix of sharpened rock’n’roll with a pinch of punk, clapping double bass, keyboards, swing band brass section and Krlesh’s unmistakable rasp combine to create a band and an original sound you won’t hear anywhere else.

BERLIN MANSON
20:55 - 21:45
Ostatní, Rap
20:55 - 21:45

The Slovak post-punk trio made their mark on the music public in 2022, when they released the striking single “Netancujem, nodem hlavou”. Berlin Manson thus introduced a specific expression and aesthetic for the band, which they subsequently began to present. It’s a kind of mix of rap, punk and even a dose of irony. In 2024 they released their last album so far, POOR BUT SEXY. It is their first conceptually coherent work dealing with life in the Eastern European version of late capitalism.

22:25 - 23:10
Punk, Punkrock
22:25 - 23:10

If you like punk rock with an attitude that can not only make fun of you, but also of themselves, then this band is the obvious choice for you. Lots of fun, funny lyrics and hectolitres of beer, that’s Turbobier in a nutshell. They started playing in 2014 and since then they have performed at Mighty Sounds twice. So this will be their third show and we’re really looking forward to it.

THE HARA
23:50 - 00:40
Hardcore, Metal
23:50 - 00:40

The next band in the bunch is also from the UK, specifically Manchester, and is called THE HARA. The band was formed in 2017 by Josh Taylor, Zack Breen and Jack Kennedy who decided to mix the musical influences of iconic rock bands with alternative and riff influences typical of contemporary rock, metal and electronic projects. The result is an explosive rock mix of a modern nature. Let’s look forward to see what this new blood will show us at Mighty Sounds.

BUDWEISS DRUNKEN BASTARDS
01:20 - 02:05
Punk, Celtic punk
01:20 - 02:05

Where did Budweiss Drunken Bastards originate? The only thing that matters is that it was in 2018 and since then the band has only been growing. The band’s output is built on the traditional foundations of Irish Celtic punk, but you can hear a whole host of other musical influences as well. Either way, count on them to pump some joy into your veins and a taste for a proper party that ends over the morning.

ZNOUZECTNOST
13:20 - 14:05
Punk, Punkrock
13:20 - 14:05

Znouze hasn’t performed at the Mighty in twelve years, and now she’ll play for the second year in a row. We decided that after neglecting them for so long, we would invite them back. The guys got together in 1986 and their lineup has gone through a number of changes. At the moment they have settled into a totally garage trio that is appropriately raw and incredibly fitting.

HELENINĚ OČI
14:50 - 15:40
Ska/Reggae
14:50 - 15:40

If anyone’s really into it in the neighborhood, it’s this seven-man crew. No wonder we invited them to our festival. The guys fight tooth and nail against genre pigeonholes, but anyone who doesn’t listen a bit is immediately clear. They will hear rock, ska, reggae, folk, Balkan, but also metal. But maybe that’s not really as important as the fact that Helene’s eyes are on full throttle and festival stages suit them like few others. Apart from the indispensable music, they really know how to handle an audience, so you can look forward to a proper interactive show.

BOOZE & GLORY
16:30 - 17:20
Punk, Oi!
16:30 - 17:20

This ever-growing Oi! punk band from London has an impressive resumé – first of all, it was quickly on the radar of vast number of street punk fans. The band was founded in 2009 by Mark, Liam, Bart and Mario. A year later, Booze & Glory debuted with “Always On The Wrong Side”, released on CD and LP. In 2011 a second album called “Trouble Free” was released and in 2013 a collection of singles named “London Skinhead Crew” followed. Booze & Glory often stress that they are 100% Working Class Band and always true to traditional skinhead culture. This is not their first appearance at Mighty Sounds so you, our visitors, know very well that their gigs are a total blast!

BABYLON CIRCUS
18:15 - 19:10
Ska/Reggae, Balkan
18:15 - 19:10

Lyon is a beautiful and vibrant city and that’s where this nine-member band comes from. They set the wheels of their circus in motion back in 1995 and have been touring clubs and festivals all over Europe with their variety show ever since. At one time Babylon Circus had quite a strong fan base in our country, but then they went on hiatus in our home country – so we’re glad to see them back after all these years, and here at the Mighty Sounds festival. It’s not for nothing that this band has the word circus in their name, as they can rock the stage like a true acrobat. Look forward to a mix of French chansons, reggae and ska and a good dose of Balkan.

DONOTS
20:00 - 20:50
Punk, Rock
20:00 - 20:50

Donots is coming back to Tabor and it’s a damn good thing. We love this band with all our hearts. The Donots are no butterflies, they know the stage like the back of their hand, and they’ve been rocking it since 1993. Years ago they started out as a punk band, now they play more refined and pompous rock, but with such a cut that you won’t miss anything of their original direction!

WIZO
21:45 - 22:40
Punk, Punkrock
21:45 - 22:40

Please welcome a band called Wizo for the first time on Mighty Sounds! Since the band doesn’t tour much and is downright choosy about venues, we’re very pleased to be the festival that Wizo has managed to land. Wizo was formed in 1985 in Sindelfingen, Germany. The band plays snappy melodic punk rock with German lyrics full of politics and humor with clear stances against racism and fascism. In 2005-2009 the band did not play, but now they are in shape and will present their latest album from 2023 in Tabor.

THE DREADNOUGHTS
23:35 - 00:30
Punk, Folkpunk
23:35 - 00:30

The Dreadnoughts started playing folk-punk in 2007 with one goal in mind: to make enough money at shows to cover the cost of shots of Fireball whiskey at Vancouver’s notorious Ivanhoe Hotel. Eighteen years later, they can say they’ve absolutely succeeded, and on top of that, they boast seven studio albums, numerous EPs and hundreds of unforgettable shows around the world. They’ve mixed punk rock and a heap of European folk traditions on a scale that few other bands can match. “The Dreadnoughts’ live set,” writes upvenue.com, “can be summed up in one word: outrageous.” If this band is proud of anything, it’s its live show, which follows the first (and only) rule of punk rock: It must be chaos! There’s no choreography, no pre-set sound effects, no light show, no “how’s everybody doing today?” Just six rowdy extroverts who aim a series of folk dances with a punk twist at the audience… sometimes after consuming a completely unnecessary amount of alcohol. Perfect for Mighty Sounds!

VISION DAYS
12:35 - 13:20
Punk
12:35 - 13:20

The Brněnec punk rock classic, playing for over three decades, is heading to Tábor after two years. Originally a gothic band, the band was founded on the foundations of WA:D in 1990. Three years later, under the name Vision Days, it continued on, but it started to claim straightforward punk rock only in 2001, when it released the album Řetěz od Boudy. At Mighty Sounds in 2025, Vision Days will show that they’re still got it.

BOSTON MANOR
14:05 - 14:55
Ostatní, Grunge
14:05 - 14:55

Boston Manor sounds as British as they can sound. This rock band got together in Blackpool in March 2013. Their first EP was called Here/Now and was released by Never Mend Record. The band mixes several styles and the result is distinctive rock with elements of emo, 90’s grunge and 21st century post hardcore. The latest record so far was released this year and is called Sundiver.

GORILLA BISCUITS
15:40 - 16:30
Hardcore
15:40 - 16:30

American hardcore punk legend Gorilla Biscuits for the first time at Mighty Sounds! Gorilla Biscuits have been part of the New York hardcore scene since 1986. They started their musical career with a few singles, but it wasn’t until the eponymous Gorilla Biscuits album and the follow-up Start Today that they really made their mark on fans’ ears. The band has broken up twice in its history. They first put their work to sleep in 1991, then briefly returned in a reunion, and went back to sleep, from which they awoke to our delight in 2005. We are delighted to welcome this living legend to our festival.

STREET DOGS
17:25 - 18:15
Punk
17:25 - 18:15

This year it will be thirteen years since this Boston band last played the Mighty Sounds festival. It’s about time we met again! The band was founded in 2002 by original Dropkick Murphys singer Mike McColgan. Skipping the initial demo, the band made history in the Boston punk scene with the album Savin Hill, produced by Nathan Albert of the legendary Mighty Mighty Bosstones, and featuring guest appearances by Barr and Ken Casey of Dropkick Murphys. Street Dogs’ most recent album to date is from 2018 and is titled Stand For Something and Die For Nothing.

ZEBRAHEAD
19:10 - 20:00
Punk, Hip Hop
19:10 - 20:00

Seven long years have passed like water and this great nineties punk rock band returns to Tábor to close this year’s Mighty Sounds festival. Zebrahead was formed in sunny California in 1996, which means that next year they will celebrate thirty years on the scene. They have a whopping thirteen albums to their credit, which speaks volumes about their incredible songwriting output, but more importantly, their hard work. Zebrahead play melodic pop punk, however, pretty much from the ground up and with tons of other musical influences implemented into their work. Those who saw their last concert in Prague’s sold-out Futur will surely tell us that this band has lost none of its energy and love for live performance despite its advanced age.

TERROR
20:55 - 21:45
Hardcore
20:55 - 21:45

Hardcore bulldozer Terror, fronted by Scott Vogel, is heading to this year’s Mighty Sounds for the second time. Terror are renowned for their efforts to keep the hard core and general scene in its purity. Vogel has etched himself in fans’ memories for his stage antics, passion for stade diving and maximizing it. Their thirteen-track debut, One With The Underdogs, sold a whopping forty thousand copies. Seven more albums have followed over the years, the most recent of which Pain Into Power was released in 2022. We’re looking forward to seeing these “keepers of the faith” kick it up a notch on Mighty years from now.

HOT WATER MUSIC
22:40 - 23:35
Punk, Punkrock
22:40 - 23:35

We are honored to welcome American punk rock legend Hot Water Music for the first time in the history of Mighty Sounds. Hot Water Music was formed in 1994 in Florida. The band has broken up and reassembled at various times over the years, which is not as important as the fact that they are currently playing and full of power and energy. This year they released a brand new album, Vows, containing 12 great tracks. There are few bands that can be said to be the quintessential Mighty band, and Hot Water is certainly one of them.

LOUTY
12:00 - 12:40
Punk
12:00 - 12:40

Roudnice’s Louty may be one of the younger bands, they only got together in 2012, but in many ways they kick the ass of their older colleagues. Melodic punk rock, hard guitars and great songs and Czech lyrics!

VAGYNY DY PRAGA
13:20 - 14:05
Rock'n'roll, Pussy punk
13:20 - 14:05

Do you want the ultimate pussy punk that doesn’t take itself seriously, let alone its surroundings? Vagyny Dy Praga was founded as a musical section of the theatre LOST EXISTENCE in 2004, since then a lot has changed, but they can’t miss their traditional performances at the Mighty. Vagyny mixes whatever is flowing through their ears, so you can enjoy basically everything from rock’n’roll to techno to country. No genre restrictions, the ultimate stage show!

BYT ČÍSLO 4
14:45 - 15:30
Rock'n'roll
14:45 - 15:30

This band clearly shows that rock’n’roll is not dead at all. Moreover, we are glad that such a young generation has taken the punk scepter. Apartment 4 is a bit of a revelation, you don’t see that much energy coming out of the guys. Apartment No. 4 debuted with the record Four Walls, which is full of driving guitars, interesting melodies and an urgent voice. We’re curious to see where this band will go in a few years.

THE MEFFS
16:10 - 16:55
Punk, Punkrock
16:10 - 16:55

An absolute sensation formed in 2019 by guitarist and vocalist Lily, along with drummer and backing vocalist Lewis. Since being on the scene, this furious duo have been churning out one punk banger after another, as well as demolishing club after club. Meffs are at the start of something big and we’re glad to be there as we’re convinced they have a big future ahead of them. See for yourself at Tabor airport.

CATBITE
17:35 - 18:20
Ska/Reggae
17:35 - 18:20

The relatively new ska reggae crew from Philadelphia has captivated ska listeners around the world. Like the Interrupters once did, Catbite offers hope for a revival of a slightly tired musical genre. We’re glad to see that, along with a few other bands, Catbite is creating a breeding ground for lovers of the second era. The band’s last double album to date was recorded in 2022 and is titled Catfite. Then in 2023 Catbite released two singles, one of which is a cover version of our favorites The Slackers.

THE BELLRAYS
19:00 - 19:45
Ostatní, Rock
19:00 - 19:45

If you like unadulterated rock with a soul voice, this band should definitely not escape your attention. The band was founded in Riverside, California in 1990 by singer Lisa Kekaula and guitarist Bob Venum. In fact, they are also the last two original members in the current lineup. This crew has a hell of a lot of albums to their credit, and most of them oscillate between classic rock and Motown, with classic rock more or less predominating. It occurs to us that this is how the band Prague Conspiracy would probably sound today if the singer Mariana had not left it and if she was still playing.

TROPHY EYES
20:25 - 21:15
Punk
20:25 - 21:15

If you love melodic punk rock, then definitely pay attention. This time we bring a great four-piece band from Newcastle, Australia. The guys formed the band in 2013, and a year later they’ve gone all out with their skin in the game, releasing their five-track EP Everything Goes Away. Since then they’ve played like mad and released a bunch of singles and albums, the latest of which is from 2023 and is called Suicide and Sunshine. Trophy Eyes’ music is a sort of dreamy punk mix of Australian type with noticeable influences from American bands. We are really looking forward to this one.

BLOOD COMMAND
21:55 - 22:40
Hardcore, Punk
21:55 - 22:40

The Norwegian punk band Blood Command has been around since 2008, but it’s only now that they’re starting to be heard about. Many circumstances have contributed to this, whether it was line up changes or a covid after which the band reformed, went on tour with Kvelertak and became known to new fans. The band’s main musical influences are The Clash, Refused, and, surprisingly enough, Boney M. And it’s not so surprising, the band relies on strong dance elements and guitarist and bandleader Yngve even describes the band as “a blissful mix of R&B, punk with a dash of disco and two percent metal”. Look forward to a proper mosh pit!

SEVERALS
23:20 - 00:05
Hardcore
23:20 - 00:05

The Severals quartet was founded in 2015. Severals’ music can be described as modern metalcore driven by raw scream vocals combined with melodic vocals. At the same time, the band is not afraid to experiment across genres. It is gaining fans not only in the Czech Republic, but also abroad. I’m really looking forward to seeing how they rock out at Mighty Sounds.
